The Event Campaign Project
For this project, more creative freedom was used to create a symbolic poster for a local event or campaign of our choice, and for this one specifically, I went with the Third Friday Art Walk. It’s a special series of events that showcase man forms of art including music and dancing. I took the opportunity to use previous skills I have learned which included block printing and watercolor.
Moodboard created for inspiration. I looked up the location and it was located on Strawberry Hill, so I used the aesthetic of the town to my advantage.
Sketches contained different ideas relating to art, with many symbols of strawberries and flowers.
I had to use only three Pantone colors as a challenge. This also had the typefaces I tried before settling on Ruddy Bold and Franklin Gothic Demi.
